Oil Capital Rod & Gun Club |
|
Oil Capital Rod and Gun Club is one of the premier shooting sports clubs in the state of Oklahoma. The Club is located on 160 acres of rolling grassland with some wooded area. The surrounding area is agricultural. It's not unusual to hear a coyote howl at night or see deer grazing on the property.
The non-range areas of the Club are managed for hay meadows and wildlife habitat. The Club is frequented by Ducks, Geese, Bluebirds, Doves, etc..
Oil Capital is a member owned sporting facility for the use of its members and their guests. It is governed by a nine member board of directors elected by the membership.
Our Club is operated by volunteers, the "they" (as in "they ought to") is you. Try to come out for meetings and work parties when you can. These events are good places to meet other members, many with interests similar to yours. If you want to volunteer time in a specific area, call the appropriate committee chairman; his phone number is listed in our monthly newsletter. The Target.
All members and guests shall conduct themselves in a cordial and proper manner. Ranges are for the use by members and escorted guests ONLY. Members are responsible for the actions and close control of family and guest. In the interests of the club, only members have unlimited access. They may be accompanied by guests, who must remain under the member's control. Guests are not authorized use of any other facilities other than those used by their host.
All members and guests must obey all posted and published rules regulating use of the ranges and facilities. Members must accompany their guests while on Club property and are responsible to see that their guests comply with rules and Bylaws. Firearms use shall at all times be restricted to the designated ranges. Rifle, Pistol, Archery, and Trap and Skeet Committees are responsible for establishing and posting Rules for their respective facilities.
All Club members are responsible for enforcing as well as obeying Club Bylaws and Range Rules. In the event of unsafe firearms use or violation of Range Rules, any member present shall take immediate action to prevent such activity from continuing and, if of a serious nature, shall report it to the appropriate Committee Chairman.
Serious violations of Range Rules, willful destruction of Club property, or acts that present a serious hazard to safe operation of the Club shall subject the member to disciplinary action by the Board of Directors. Such disciplinary action may include, but is not limited to, suspension of member privileges or forfeiture of membership with no refund of dues or membership fee. |
